Christy Oliver Reeves is a passionate advocate for higher education and community impact, bringing over two decades of leadership experience to her work. She recently served on the Southern University System Board of Supervisors, contributing to initiatives aimed at improving student outcomes and institutional performance. Christy also has a longstanding affiliation with Boston College’s Center for Corporate Citizenship, supporting efforts to enhance the role of businesses in addressing societal challenges.

As Vice President of Community Engagement & Social Responsibility at Ochsner Health, Christy oversees sustainability initiatives and community-focused strategies that foster impactful partnerships. Prior to joining Ochsner, she served as CEO of Single Stop USA, a national anti-poverty organization that partnered with community colleges and universities to connect students with critical resources, improving student persistence and success rates.

Earlier, Christy spent nearly a decade as Executive Director of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation, where she led one of the nation’s largest collective impact programs, engaging over 200 partners to improve health outcomes statewide.

Christy is a graduate of LSU, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, Master’s in Library and Information Science, and Master’s in Business Administration. She lives in Baton Rouge with her husband, Brandon, and is the proud mother of two LSU students, Kyra Jane and Lucy Sawyer.

Her father, William A. Oliver, was a Regent from 2002-2004. She serves as the representative for the 5th Congressional District. She will complete her term of service on December 31, 2030.
