Louisiana Board of Regents
Accelerating Meauxmentum in Louisiana
As a result of the tremendous progress made in higher education and partnerships strengthened over the past six years, Louisiana’s educational attainment rate has grown for the fourth consecutive year. A new record of 80,000 graduates earned credentials in Louisiana in 2025, just 5,000 annual completers short of our 2030 goal of 85,000. According to an LA FIRST report, these graduates will, on average, have significantly higher salaries than peers with only a high school diploma.

Dual Enrollment
Act 128 of the 2019 Regular Session created the Dual Enrollment Framework Task Force. The Task Force will review existing laws, policies, and efforts in Louisiana and other states on dual enrollment, course choice, student remediation, articulation and transfer, and transition courses; consider any dual enrollment recommendations from the College and Career Readiness Commission; seek to coordinate all dual enrollment efforts of the Board of Regents.
Hunger-Free Campus
The Hunger-Free Campus designation and grant program are a two-part mandate not only to recognize those campuses that have established critical student services around hunger and related concerns but also for the Board of Regents to develop a competitive grant program to support our institutions in these efforts.
