Devesh Sarda is a senior computer science major at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, where he serves as President of the Student Government Association. A passionate advocate for student engagement, Devesh is committed to ensuring student voices are heard and empowered to shape meaningful change on campus. He is the 46th student to serve on the Louisiana Board of Regents, the ninth representative from the LSU System, and the first from LSU Shreveport.

Before his election as SGA President, Devesh served as an SGA Senator (2022–2024) and Chair of the Student Affairs Committee (2023–2024). Beyond student government, he is actively involved in a variety of campus organizations and has earned numerous academic honors, including the 2025 Outstanding Undergraduate Student in Computer Science – Software Development and multiple placements on the Chancellor’s List.

Elected by his peers on the Council of Student Body Presidents (COSBP), Devesh brings a strong commitment to student advocacy, academic excellence, and leadership. He is honored to represent students from Louisiana’s public higher education institutions and will complete his term on May 31, 2026.
