Web Accessibility Statement

The Louisiana Board of Regents is committed to ensuring all electronic and information technology on BOR websites is accessible to individuals with disabilities by meeting or exceeding the requirements under federal laws, particularly Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 794d), as amended in 1998.

Section 508 requires agencies to provide individuals with disabilities access to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and data comparable to those without disabilities unless an undue burden would be imposed on the agency.

The Section 508 standards are the technical requirements and criteria that are used to measure conformance within this law. More information on Section 508 and the technical standards can be found at Section508.gov.

Our ongoing accessibility efforts help ensure conformity to Section 508 and the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria. These guidelines help make web content accessible to users with sensory, cognitive and disabilities, ensuring such individuals access to our digital services and technology. Our ongoing accessibility efforts aim to make all BOR websites fully compliant with applicable laws. BOR welcomes comments to improve all accessibility for all digital services for users with disabilities.

If you require assistance or wish to report an issue related to the accessibility of any content on this website, please e-mail [email protected]. If applicable, please include the web address or URL and the specific problems you have encountered.
