Louisiana Math Forward

Volume IV Newsletter

June 8, 2021

This April and May, institutional teams from across the state continued the work of developing plans for scaling and continuously improving high quality models of corequisite math.

Led by the Charles A. Dana Center, these teams have learned more about national placement measures as well as which corequisite model and design features are best suited for their students. Additionally, with a spotlight on the work being done at Southeastern Louisiana University teams were able to connect with colleagues on lessons learned from those further along in the process.

The workshop series will conclude on June 9 with a focus on faculty and curriculum design. Participants will leave this series ready to develop strong institutional corequisite math plans with the support of national experts including one-on-one support from the Dana Center and through technical assistance mini-grants to support implementation.
